#beautyisntchemical by Sephora: Advertising Campaign

One of the biggest problems facing the makeup world today is that consumers are unaware of the toxic chemicals in their favorite products. Major makeup brands are not required or regulated by the FDA to be transparent about ingredients used. In this 360-degree advertising campaign, both Sephora and the Campaign for Safe Cosmetics work together to properly educate consumers on the toxicity of chemicals. The campaign uses the iconic look of the 50’s beauty advertisements to convey a sarcastic message promoting toxic chemicals. Photos of the models were taken in-house.
